Snipes had more quality wins as a professional.
They were about equal on talent. But with Snipes ability to win the bigger fights is my determining factor.

The 1979 version of Tate would have beaten any version of Snipes on points. However, if it's the post-1980 version of Tate, I'd probably lean towards Snipes.

At his peak, Big John was a formidable fighter. Too bad he didn't live up to his full potential.
