Kostya Tszyu vs Gervonta Davis (140lbs).

Davis fought above 135 couple of times - against Barrios and against Ryan Garcia recently (136lbs catchweight). He was still able to carry his power and explosiveness, but perhaps didn't look his best vs Barrios.

He goes up against Kostya Tszyu of 2004-2005. Tszyu wasn't at his peak at that point in time, but he looked spectacular in the 2nd Sharmba Mitchell fight and was still competitive (until he wasn't) against a prime Hatton.

I think, matching up these 2 particular versions of Davis and Tszyu would make this fight the most competitive.

I also think that's the version of Tszyu, that Davis' management wouldn't mind to put Tank in against. Still a very risky fight, but in this case it'd have been a calculated risk - Tszyu is still holding the belt, but is also on the decline. Tszyu, on his part, wouldn't turn down what is most likely to be a decent payday.
