What if Eubank went to 175 in 1996-8?

Post by Phenomenal-Nutrition »

He jumped 2 divisions and 25lbs and nearly beat Thompson. How would he have done if he went to 175 earlier though? A prime Jones Jr and Darius Michalczewski were in their primes at this time.

Jones probably would've been too much but Chris would have a punchers chance and his accuracy would win him a few rounds.

I think he may have done well against Michalczewski as Eubank has always done well against pressure fighters

Other belt holders would have been pretty beatable for Chris like Dell valle and Reggie Johnson

If Eubank tried all of his posing crap with Jones, he would have been taken out early as Jones was way too fast for anyone to try to showboat! DM was probably too strong for him as well!

I think Dariusz would have walked through him for a UD. Too much pressure and strength. Jones would have easily beat him. Jones is just all wrong for Eubank. It would be a bit like the Toney fight. Reggie Johnson may have beaten him also.

Eubank would lose to RJJ and D Man... No disgrace of course. D-Man has to work hard to get to 175 whereas Eubank could do 160....

RJJ was a phenom.....

Pound for Pound Eubank and D-Man are pretty evenly matched
