WBC announced a week ago that Francis Ngannou would be ranked at number 10.

WTF? Why hasn’t no one commented on this obscenity?? I would’ve thought the boxing world would be more vocal….

This is with 0-1 pro record and he gets WBC number 10

So now is eligible to fight for the title.

Realistically we will be fighting the winner of Fury v Uysk

tbf the last person to fight for the WBC title had 13 losses and was as relevant as a Betamax. It was preposterous but the HW division has become a comedy of errors so an MMA fighter with no experience being ranked seems apt.

We only need Fres Oquendo to get a title fight at 50 now to complete it.

I just cant see it, he will have made more money than he'll ever need and have completed boxing, can't see him risking that for fights paying less money, maybe if the chinese stump up ridiculous money. Think he's 38 soon too.

Yes. But I not convinced Usyk would be chasing that. I get the impression its all about legacy and walking away undefeated is as good as it`ll get.

The Saudis would want the rematch for the next Riyadh season. That would mean potentially another 2 defences or the belts being stripped by then.

If Usyk wins, (think he will tbh). If he loses a rematch I’d wager.
But if he wins….. (be in breach of Fury’s demands but hey ho…). Fury won’t want another loss. (He’d go for a last hurrah with Francis in Saudi).

Usyk will retire.
Nothing left to prove.
Lots of shekels and a legacy on a par with Lennox, Marciano and SOG.

I want Welch to have a contentious victory and refuse to fight them again just so we can say he Welched at the rematch.

It's really not that crazy to think a guy who lost a Split Decision that is hotly debated against the Heavyweight Champion earned himself a ranking with his performance.

If I were Ngannou's people I'd take advantage of the publicity from all this, and get him a couple of fights against chinny guys that are outside the Top 30 ASAP.

I think I'd only have Francis fight a few guys of that type though since obviously the demand will be to see him against quality opponents. At least until he gets beaten decisively.

He welched on the rematch with Klitschko and I don’t think he got sued for it.

He could easily get a Doctor to write something saying he shouldn’t be fighting. He gets punched in the head for a living and may not even need to lie, which he seems to do fairly often, to get a Doctor to medically retire him.

He’s #10 0-1 re a very very close decision re the WBC () Champion

So when Usyk wins, and he will, where does that leave the WBc #10?

Its easy James , Fury just got it delayed because he was injured , which can be read , unfit to fight , what was wrong black eye was'nt it , , a Harley st specelist gives any boxer a note for 6 months , then another , , theres NO WAY is anyone gonna try and sue , can't go against the doctor , he's the man
