Rodriguez vs Edwards who wins?

What are y'all thoughts on this fight? I like Bam.

I’ve not watched a helluva lot of Sunny, tbh, due to his sleep inducing style, but seen enough to know his artful boxing and ring IQ are gonna prove a nightmare puzzle for Bam to solve. I know they’re ultra confident in the Rodriguez camp, but this isn’t an ideal fight to go for really, in the build up to superstardom: he could be chasing shadows, for round after round.

But Bam looks a generational talent, so you’ve gotta assume he’ll find a way to get to Sunny late, and sweep it on the cards with his brilliant aggression.

A fascinating match up though, there is uncertainty as to just how good either of them really is.

Sunny can’t win in the US without a higher workrate. Footwork and potshoting occasionally is not gonna do it. And he can’t lay on the ropes just making Bam miss and not punching back.

That's well put and mirrors a lot of my own thoughts. Sunny Edwards is a magician without a doubt, but I don't know if he has fought anyone with comparable footwork and the hand speed of Rodriguez. If Edwards can stay on his horse and elude Bam for 12 rds he may be able to win a decision, but I agree with your thought that Bam will catch up to him later, maybe stop him late or secure the decision. I do think it has the potential to be a really good fight!

Still not sure if he is on the level of El Gallo or Chocolatito, but he sure looked good against Edwards.
