Because it is a RTD.

Apparently not, it was deemed a tko with his corner stopping itn1 second into round 10 and the bookmakers paid me out for a tko as well.

Retired or TKO are both classed as stoppage wins with bookies aren't they?

is an rtd an official result, or just something boxrec does in corner retirements to make it evident that a fighter was retired?

either way corner retirements count as stoppages with the bookies

Im unsure but I've seen boxrec record fights as TKO, my bet was Bam to win by KO or TKO, it was announced as a TKO in the ring by David Diamante but Paddy Power didnt pay out for 12 hours, I read there terms and conditions and it said in occassions where they cant use the official result (not sure why this would be) that they would use the boxrec result and that was saying rtd, however I read that someone had the same issue for another fight and cintacted boxrec and got them to change it, just seems odd that boxrec wouldn't have it right to begin with.
