Goodbye Gervonta Davis

Hello Abdul Wahid

speaking of name changes ......

hopefully this change is part of him turning into a better person, rather than being someone who keeps assaulting people and running dudes over

Rasta ran someone over? Had they criticised Fury? Shown affection for Eddie Hearn? Smoked some weed?
I had no idea.

Does this mean no drugs, no alcohol, and maybe even no carjacking?

Doesn't have a nice ring to it like Muhammad Ali.

I figure his popularity will dip because of this. Not because people will be offended, but because it'll take a while before anybody realizes who the f*ck that is.

No he won't. Doubt he'l change his passport and everything else.

He'll be known by that locally..

Mike Tyson converted and not once I saw anyone call him Malik Abdul Aziz.

Yes, I remember Tyson announcing that he'd changed his name, yet I have literally never heard anyone call him Mr Aziz.

I wonder what the point of it was?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Tyson : Tyson never changed his given name to an Islamic one, despite the rumors.

Probably a good thing Mike’s name never stuck, he hardly embraced the lifestyle
