I think, Corrales' size and physicality would be a problem for Barrera. Plus, Barrera was somewhat past it from 2005 onwards.

However, Corrales was draining himself to trim down to 130. And Barrera, despite being past his best, was still effective up till the Marquez fight in 2007. In fact, I consider Marquez fight his last hoorah (even in a loss).

This is actually an interesting fight, with several "ifs". But at 130, I'd slightly favor Barrera. Think he'll edge it with cleaner, crisper shots and an overall better boxing. Unlike Freitas, he'll be able to fend off Corrales late rally.

This would've been a tough one. I think Barrera would need to fight a near perfect fight to overcome the natural size advantage of Corrales, and I'm not sure he would've had it in him as a 130 pound fighter.

I feel like Barrera holds his own of course, boxes well, and gives Corrales lots of difficulty, but it's hard for me to imagine Corrales can't get to him and hurt him bad before the fights over.
