Herol Graham v Steve Collins

Collins mixed with elite company in his middleweight prime, and I'd fancy McCallum to beat everyone on this list. I think he'd manage to sneak it by a nose as Graham tired in the final third. Collins MD/SD.

Nigel Benn v Joe Calzaghe

Calzaghe UD. Benn might've knocked him down and dominated for a spell, but none of Joe's opponents ever kept him from coming back. For all Benn's power and menace there was a gulf in footwork.

Chris Eubank v Robin Reid

Tightish MD/SD affair, but Eubank wins for commercial reasons.

Ritchie Woodall v Howard Eastman

Eastman was always a bit of a mystery to me, so dunno. I'll take a punt on him living his best life and edging it with sporadic moments of quality.

Steve Collins v Joe Calzaghe

Close fight full of heart and content, but I think Calzaghe's footwork is the difference. Again! Calzaghe narrow UD.

Chris Eubank v Howard Eastman

Maybe suits Eubank for one of his classically mercurial SDs.

Well we've seen it, but Eubank was coming down the hill as Calzaghe was climbing. A younger Eubank could've beaten that greener Calzaghe, the same as Calzaghe in his prime was a match for any Eubank. Calzaghe SD/UD more often than not.

Carl Froch v Joe Calzaghe

Froch might've scared Calzaghe once or twice (think Reid's best moment), but cards ranging 115 to 117 Calzaghe by UD.

Any computation with Calzaghe on it is easy - Calzaghe wins!

Mate. It’s always a tragedy when something like this happens. Whatever the level. Michael was superb tho. Amongst my mates I picked him over Benn at Finsbury. I was laughed at. A smooth boxer with a dig. Loved watching him. The McCallum fight was great in defeat. Mind you. Body snatcher was one of the best.
Won’t watch the last one tho. Being a fellow Gooner don’t come in to it. Lovely boxer. Lovely man. Still is

Never been a massive fan but Calazghe was different class. His match making was so poor we never got to see how great he was (maybe that's why I was never a fan).

I think people make too many excuses for him. He held the WBO belt hostage for a decade and was happy fighting Tocker Pudwills and Kabary Salems and various other nobodies. He didn’t want to fight outside the UK but then when it came to fighting past it legends he couldn’t get to Vegas quick enough. He squeezed past a 43 year old Hopkins and then fought a shot RJJ. Prime RJJ would have taken him apart, something he’s admitted himself. The Lacy win is massively overrated and really it’s one narrow win against Kessler that’s his best win.

Froch’s CV wipes the floor with his all day long.

I’m not denying he was a good fighter but his reputation vastly exceeds his actual achievements IMO. There are people who have him on their ATG list which amazes me.
