Perhaps if Jake Paul gets past Mike Tyson, he'll take on Clint Eastwood.

Apparently that is true IF it is deemed an exhibition...
I read the camps are pushing for a legit sanctioned bout. WTF knows?

I don't think this fight will happen.
If I am wrong and it does happen, I think it will be heavily choreographed.
There's no way a 58 year old should be in the ring, particularly against opponents 30 years younger: The Spectre of Holyfield should loom large of this event.
He was also 58 when he fought his exhibition against Belfort, who was a mere 14 years younger, but Evander still fell apart like slow cooked brisket when Vitor slightly upped the ante in their fight.

Yeah, you're points obviously make sense. It really is common sense. At least to people with proper perception to reality.
Mike Tyson Should Not be having this bout. He has nothing to prove. At least we "Real Actual" boxing fans feel this way.
The "Casual type Boxing Fans" are of course mesmerized. They always are when they really shouldn't be.
There is a pretty strong likelihood that this won't end well.
Could Mike win..???
I actually believe so, but then what..?!?!
Jake just cares about money.
Seriously disappointed with him.
I thought he was better than this....

Evander was told it would be like a sparring session. He was bamboozled by the promoters and caught off guard completely when belfort came out firing

Another exihibition fight for big money. I don't care about it. Why not against David Tua, who is in great shape ?

Interesting article.
Looks like Holyfield was tricked, but it just further emphasises that men of his age shouldn't be anywhere near boxing rings, especially against much younger guys who have combat sport grounding.
Holyfield had the balance of a newborn giraffe and was slower than Windows 95 and just couldn't respond when Belfort upped the ante.

Well he did fight 3.5 years ago. I honestly think Tyson looks better in recent years than he did in 2005

You don't think that might be because he was fighting another old man?

The saddest thing is that so many people think that Tyson is going to go through him like a buzzsaw. Tyson couldn't do that to journeymen 20 years ago. Jake Paul might not be an elite fighter, or even at a McBride/Williams level but he isn't embarrassingly bad, takes it seriously and looks like he is improving with each fight.
I would love an old Mike to give him a lesson, but I personally just don't see it.

That was an exhibition, not a fight, two old duffers having a body spar.
Tyson's shot to bits, has been for well over a decade.
This fight is an exhibition - neither man will try to hurt the other.

why so much talk about a sparring-show made to generate huge numbers ? boxing has became wwe.

Irresponsible in the first degree by all involved in this fight.

The thing that bugs me is that I think this clown, Paul, will actually try to KO Mike.
Total tool for taking this match and challenging a great, former Champ in his advanced years. As mentioned, Holyfield was used and abused and would hate the same for Mike.

I can understand that.
Tyson can't do 3 minute rounds at his age.

Plus no judges so it's an Automatic draw should it go the distance. Which means there's no longer any result possible except Automatic Draw.

Today, ESPN announced that this will be a sanctioned pro fight.... but only 2-minute rounds and w/ 14 oz gloves.

14 oz gloves and 8x2 min rounds..
What kind of pro fight is that?
It's only sanctioned because they know it would make more money than an exhibition.

Mike's deluded if he thinks he will win. He was crap 20 years ago. Only thing he's going to get out of this is money and head trauma. He has enough of both already.

EDIT: Nevermind. I see it's 8.
