Parker don’t need Whyte. He needs his shot.

Title says it all.
Gotta be 1 or 2 ranked across all governing bodies surely.
Either AJ next or, he gets a crack at Usyk/Fury.

One or two more fights under Andy Lee first. :TU:
I think that would make things more fan friendly and competitive, no matter who he ends up facing.
Whyte and Parker do have something to settle, and its now or never.

Parker is number 4 on Boxrec. Which I think is fair. And only turned 32 in January. He is so well placed. He has plenty of time ahead of him. He also has good standing. He bad mouths no one yet has won a version of the world title, come back from losses and is on a heullva winning streak. He is the most in form we have. I don't think he needs Whyte.

parker says he wont fight fury. they're buddies.

already lost a bretty boringg fight to aj, and nothing of the 'new' parker suggestts to me he'd reverse it.

usyk-parker could work if usyk keeps fighting after fury

tbh, id prefer parker fight the winner of dubs-hrg

He isn't getting a title shot next, wants to keep busy, keep earning, beating Whyte would avenge a loss, get him at the right time and would be the best earner

Even though Whyte is still beatable (he could have beaten him in their previous bout if he hadn't been knocked out by a blow to the head), Joshua would likely stop him if they fought again space bar clicker

Parker has been a champ, I think he wants to be again, but I think he really just wants big fights.

Whyte is a big fight.
He would be a 4-1 favourite. (Mabey more)
And it’s revenge.

If there is millions to fight Whyte why not. Obviously if the AJ or Usyk fight is there they are bigger but aside from that… Whyte has the most upside.

I hope Parker goes a route to fight for a version of the world title again, he fights everyone so I hope it happens. He also never whines in defeat which is rare in HW boxing. Whyte blames everyone but himself.

Whyte big mouthed after his fight with Parker. Dismissed the head clash, and the fact he was out on his feet and saved by the bell.

If I was Parker, I would have genuine beef with Whyte. :box:

Parker is fighting a bit better at this stage of his career, and he might have that bit of desperation that he needed during his prime that saw him slightly out hustled by a prime Whyte etc. A lot of times it was felt that he didn't give as much as he could have. That said, he's on a good run at the moment and if he keeps on facing good fighters, good things might happen for him. Can't fault his showings vs Wilder and Zhang.

I think Whyte is pretty much semi retired anyway, he will turn up for a paycheck, but doubt he will have the motivation to deal with parker, who will beat him relatively easily in a rematch.

Hard not to like parker, he's not the most exciting of fighters, but he's a good guy and he's definitely making the most of his opportunities.

Parker is very likeable and always respectful too, and still only 32! His resume win or lose is up there with the best. I really like him. I don't think I've heard anyone bad mouth him which is rare for boxing especially the HW division.

I do wonder what Whyte has left in terms of ability or appetite, makes a rematch intriguing.

whyte is much more likely to fight a less dangerous opponent like chisora for £££ or try and entice Okolie to HW as there has been some beef with them in the past rather than mix it with anyone higher up the chain like parker - frankly this version parker smokes whyte .
