Jewish Boxers of London’s East End - a Seminar followed by excerpts from a brand new opera ‘The Whitechapel Whirlwind’ based on the life of the famous Jewish boxer from the East End Jack ‘Kid’ Berg (born Judah Bergman) covering aspects of his fascinating life and career, by Howard Fredrics and Jacob Sager Weinstein

Amid the nostalgia for the sepia-tinted stars one seems to have missed that the Undisputed Welterweight Champion of the World is a Jew!

Gary Jacobs and James Toney (though not Jewish) fought with the Star of David on the leg of their trunks during the 90's. Hell, there is a heavyweight prospect in Roman Greenberg right on their doorstep .
