Lyndon Arthur vs. Liam Cameron | CH5 - 21 June 2024
Comebacking Cameron To Fight Arthur On June 21
Lyndon Arthur returns to action in Bolton on June 21st. The former Commonwealth light heavyweight champion will box Liam Cameron on a Wasserman show. The fight will be screened in the UK on Channel 5.
Arthur, 23-2 (16 KOs), will box for the first time since losing a unanimous decision to WBA champion, Dmitry Bivol, in Saudi Arabia last December.
The 32-year-old remains a major player in an active domestic 175lb scene. With his former opponent, Anthony Yarde, and Joshua Buatsi struggling to finalise their fight and Craig ‘Spider’ Richards and Willy Hutchinson due to meet on the Queensberry Vs. Matchroom ‘5 Vs. 5’ card on June 1st, Arthur will be keen to make a statement and remind people exactly what he is capable of.
“Cameron is hungry for this, and coming to ruin my plans, but I simply won’t allow him to restart his career with a win over me,” Arthur said. “It’s just not happening.”
The Mancunian represents a huge step up in quality for former Commonwealth middleweight champion, Cameron, 23-5 (10 KO’s), who will be taking part in his fourth fight since returning from five years out of the ring. The 33-year-old was hit with a four-year ban after testing positive for cocaine and then spent 12 months getting himself back into shape after ballooning in weight.
“Everybody knows what I have been through, but the struggle will be all worth it, when I cause a huge upset on June 21,” Cameron said. “A win over Lyndon Arthur will take my career to a whole new level and opportunities as good as this one don’t come around very often, so I am going to make the most of it. This will be a life-changing night for me.”
Sheffield’s Cameron returned to action last October and has worked his way down to the light heavyweight limit against moderate opposition but he will catapult himself back to prominence should he shock Arthur.

I'm happy for Cameron, he's been to hell and back over the last few years and not just with that scandalous coke ban, he's got a great opportunity here, hope he makes the most of it
As for Arthur or more to the point Kalle, Arthur should be capitalizing on the Bivol fight, channel 5 need to bin Wasserman, these main events aren't good enough

good post, Cameron has been through so much. I hope he earns well and accomplishes himself well regardless of the outcome of the fight. I like Arthur too, two good people in the ring for this one.handsofstone wrote: ↑17 Jun 2024, 17:37 I'm happy for Cameron, he's been to hell and back over the last few years and not just with that scandalous coke ban, he's got a great opportunity here, hope he makes the most of it

I have followed Lyndon for years, always wanted him to do well, but I really want Liam to win this mainly for redemption having had his best years taken from him by the BBBOC.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑17 Jun 2024, 18:29good post, Cameron has been through so much. totally get what you mean mate. He's not trash talking in the interviews too, neither are, refreshing. I am such a fence sitter I hope it's a brilliant draw!esbr wrote: ↑19 Jun 2024, 15:28I have followed Lyndon for years, always wanted him to do well, but I really want Liam to win this mainly for redemption having had his best years taken from him by the BBBOC.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑17 Jun 2024, 18:29good post, Cameron has been through so much. Here’s the problem with modern technology, I have accounts/devices/subscriptions which could allow me to watch almost anything I could desire or dream of. Any obscure 90s film, 1950s natural history doc or Slovakian handball game.
Just this second realised I don’t have Channel 5 any more

Brown v Bouillot up now, there have been some epically long gaps in between fights, fortunately there's the allegedly and BCB cards to watch inbetween. GAD is commentating on the allegedly card.
