Is he better off retiring undefeated with his current accomplishments or can he significantly rise in his all time pound for pound or heavyweight ranking with 1-3 more fights?

he's already beat the next best guys in the division. there is no real standout contender who would boost his legacy

reality is he's not really active enough that he can add much depth either, for the people who dont think he has enough fights

Beating Fury again, and I guess if Wilder or Ruiz can manage a win it'd be cool to get a win over them for History's sake just because you'd be adding other Former Champions to your ledger, but neither of those would boost his status like a 2nd Fury win would or the 1st one already did.

The biggest thing he could do to add to his historical ranking is if he were able to beat the guy who winds up being a formidable Champion in the future.

Like let's say Filip Hrgovic gets a shot, and Usyk beats him, and retires shortly thereafter and then like 5 or 6 years down the line Filip Hrgovic is the top guy.

That would be a boost to his legacy, but of course how good a guy you've beaten is gonna do once you're gone is hardly up to you now is it?

Why bother fighting clods like Joyce, Parker, Zhang etc, who are clearly a good few levels below. They'd be a waste of time on his resume.

I suppose taking Kabayel's or Hrgovic's 0 might be a decent feather to add to his cap.

Obvious route is i) Fury ii) Retirement fight in Ukraine. And honestly for that last fight I'd take anyone in the top 15; he's earned an easier fight to bow out on. I was watching his fight with Breidis the other night and he's slowed down a lot from that point in his career. His style is a younger man's style; no reason to be fighting so close to 40.
