Did anyone watch/listen to this interview? My mind is blown and words fail me
So many terrible refs and judges seem to be low level ex pros….are they bitter?handsofstone wrote: ↑24 May 2024, 06:00 Another case of the bbbc bringing this sh1t on themselves, should've sacked him off years ago, now he's entitled

I’m pretty sure his fight with IJL was British fight of the year.
Sad to see Trevor passed away quite recently. Check the comments

Ian came across well when he was on a prison documentary, he is/was a PO.

It sounds like he left quite a mark in the boxing world, especially with that memorable fight against Trevor Smith. It's always sad to hear about the passing of someone who made such an impact.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑24 May 2024, 08:30 He made boxing headlines in an absolute war, a southern area title fight against the big punching Essex hard case Trevor Smith, who would’ve been British champion if he hadn’t run into the mercurial Kirkland Lang at the top of his game. Ian's British title eliminator with Mickey Hughes was another great fight. I missed his fight with Chris Blake, but it likely pleased the crowd despite the cut eye finish. I saw his 8-rounder with Ray Taylor where Ian complained to the referee. Darren Dyer's power was too much for Ian, but he remained game as ever.THEBUTCH wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 17:09 Ian's British title eliminator with Mickey Hughes was another belter.
I don't think I saw John-Lewis' fight with Chris Blake, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't another crowd pleaser (up until the cut eye finish).
I was ringside for his 8 rounder with Ray Taylor and Ian was a bit of a whinger that night complaining to the referee.
Darren Dyer punched way too hard for John-Lewis, but Ian was as game as ever.
