Put these fighters in order of Popularity
Adrien Broner
Deontay WIlder
Errol Spence
Terence Crawford
Who's more Popular
Re: Who's more Popular
Spence
Crawford
Wilder
Broner
Rewind the clock 5 years and it becomes
Wilder
Broner
Spence
Crawford
I also suspect Spence's being more famous than Crawford will come to an end, if it hasn't already.

it's lol how many dudes i have seen on social media hating on crawford, not for anything about his personality or fighting style or ability, but because he hasnt been a career pbc fighter, like he's somehow a traitor
but atm, crawford, wilder, and esp broner have lost a lotta steam, id say crawford is at the top now

Re: Who's more Popular
Wilder - definitely most popular and because of his frightening power, has been overrated. However, if he keeps fighting, he will lose his lustre, because he's on his way to becoming a gatekeeper.
Crawford - his destruction of Spence has helped his p4p credentials now, which is of great benefit, because he's currently on the Gary Russell Jr fight once a year diet.
Spence - he's dropped down because of his destruction at the hands of Spence.
Broner- his career has been erratic and stagnant. Hasn't been the same since Maidana beat him.

That's a really good point. Wind back the clock to where Wilder was fighting to afford his special needs daughter and support his Mrs...
Also Spence has been a bit of a d*ck. Burning through too much money, and doing stupid stuff.

Re: Who's more Popular
Spence just hasn't been active enough, neither has Crawford, but Spence had very good reasons, even if they were self inflicted.
It's almost rather a shame because I feel he was the most talented of this bunch.
Broner was more notorious than popular, following in his equally dislikeable role model's footsteps, but even that's coming to an end now.
Crawford unfortunately does not have any media persona whatsoever. However, if a fight with Canelo can be made, he will become a household name if he wins (in a way that Bivol cannot be due to the way the US/Western media is geared up).
As for Wilder, he was genuinely very popular. You could argue that he's been carefully protected or that he's been grossly mismanaged, but there's no doubt about it, Deontay Wilder is a likeable man.
Even now, he could go on, but that would mean ditching his entire retinue and finding people who have his best, and not their own interests at heart.
If that's not possible, if those vultures have their claws in him too deep, then there's no reason for him not to sit back and enjoy the wealth he has earned in the ring and ditch that ridiculous 'bad man' image that others have tried to push on him.
He certainly provided good entertainment during what were difficult times for many of us so the best of luck to him and his family.

Re: Who's more Popular
How are you defining popular? I'd bet that far more people know who Wilder is. What percentage of them like him is a different matter.
