I think, that's an excellent fight.

I'd be interested to see how Davis approaches JMM. Fighters that moved a lot were historically giving Marquez fits. Tank showed he's capable of boxing on the back and on the front foot well.

If he fights JMM on the back foot - then, it'll be worth mentioning, that Tank wasn't exactly as slick and spoiling as Casamayor, Norwood and even Bradley (on the night he fought JMM).

Marquez should be Marquez here. If Davis will try to play a waiting game with him - so be it. Don't fall for it. Even if the crowd will boo. Eventually, Marquez should "outwait" Tank. And Tank, sooner or later, will start going on the offensive. That's his nature.

What happens afterwards is the question. Will Marquez be able to counterpunch Davis to death? How defensively responsible will Tank be to counterpunches?

There will be exchanges. How much will Davis' advantage in handspeed bother JMM? I believe, it will allow Tank to land on JMM. Tank might very well drop JMM at least once. Dropping Marquez isn't a problem. Making Marquez staying down - now, that'll be a task.

Tank is a major puncher. Is he a much bigger puncher than, say, Pac? He might be a harder hitter. But not by a country mile. Is he more versatile than Pac? I don't think so.

Judges. They might be a factor. Davis was often dropping rounds, while boxing on the back foot. Marquez was often dropping rounds, when he was forced to chase his foe. I think, Davis will be favoured in Vegas.

Chin. Davis might hurt JMM. But on the past history, Marquez is capable of withstanding any power. Davis' chin was tested, but not by someone like Marquez. I remember how much Rolly's shots were rattling Tank, when he was landing on him.

Final verdict: I'd side with Marquez. But I'll be worried for him here. I can also see a scenario where Davis takes a debatable decision. But not exactly a robbery-like. His case for a win will be strengthened by a scored knockdown.

Márquez UD, something like 115-113, 116-112. Great fight. Davis is a top class finisher and dangerous for 12 rounds but Márquez is in a different class than his opponents.
