Despite him being a Geordie, I really like Cameron Voung, although he needs to work on his power.

Well Geordie boy, I'm a Mackem (by way of NZ), so you'll forgive me if I never reply to any of your posts ever again.

Seriously though, Voung's got great speed, punch selection and I think he'll perform better when the level of opponent increases. The power is the issue, but he's young, so it might improve. I know one thing, he's been matched very strongly so far compared to other prospects.

I really like the look of Vuong. He's in against Gavin Gywnne next week, which should tell us a lot more

I was one of Sam Hickey's coaches when he boxed as an amateur at Lochee Boys Club ,knew him since he was about 10 or 11 years old,he's grown into a fine young man,level headed and totally dedicated and totally focused hopefully with a bit of luck he can go onto great things,Dundee boxing has been relatively quiet since Ronnie Clark hung up his gloves and Michael Towell ( RIP) passed away

Dan Toward needs to be spoken about more, he's looked quality in every fight so far.

Hopefully he goes on to become a boxing great, it won't be for the lack of effort for someone who didn't start boxing til he was 26 or 27 ,think he had about 3 or 4 amateur fights,I think Ronnie exceeded expectations, the win against Zelpha Barrett being the highlight, he didn't have it easy ,no much sponsorship etc,he took a lot of short notice fights in opponents backyard, as for Michael,what happened to him was absolutely tragic,he was a tough lad and as game as they come,if there's a heaven hel be up there cheering and roaring for Sam to do well,he was like a big brother to the lad from an early age

Not all prospects are supposed to go all the way, some of them will only make it to British level and there's nothing wrong with that.

Joe Howarth, good boxer, won Central Area title last night in Oldham on points but dropped his opponent in the second. Young, has an L but just the one and a lot of talent.

Giorgio Visioli looks brilliant for just 21 years old. Only gonna get better too
