Here's an interesting one for you.
What if Pacquiao would've decided to keep the WBC 154lbs title that he won by beating Margarito and would've fought his #1 contender and a WBC Silver champ at the time - Saul "Canelo" Alvarez?
I remember there was a chatter about Pac-Canelo bout around that time period. There is also article from June 2011 about Mexican Billionaire Slim offering $65 million to stage Pac-Canelo in Mexico.
In reality, Pac vacated and moved back down to 147lbs. Canelo fought for the vacant title against Matthew Hatton.
In an alternative reality, what if Pac-Canelo came to fruition back then? Do you have a sense on how it would go?

I don't remember any chatter whatsoever of Pac vs Canelo at that time. At that time I figure Pac could've beaten him.

this is basically red hot pac vs a still green canelo , who had lots of fights but limited world class experience. pac woulda beat him at this time, the speed and movement woulda been too much

Here's the article I was referring to:
To be certain, according to article, they were thinking about staging this fight "in a year" (so, in 2012). But given that Pac left JMW for good after the Margarito fight and would stay at 147 for the rest of his career - I guess, the only realistic time period when Pac could've faced Canelo was 2011 (Pac remains at 154, Canelo fight gets ordered and teams come to an agreement).
That's why I put 2011 in the "subject" frame.
P.S. I guess, the link didn't make it thru. But oh well...
