Olympic trials

Post by Tantum »

What requisites are there to sign up for the Olympic trials?

And when do they take place?

You have to win usa nationals or qualify by winning the western trials or the eastern trials. i think if you win national golden gloves you get to go to the trials too.

In any non-olympic year? Or does it have to be the year before? (2003, 2007, 2011, etc..)

I think the qualifying starts in 2007 but will run all the way into 2008 and i think the western and eastern trials are your last shot to make it to the olympic trials.

Why not fight at 165? How tall are you? And how old are you?

Im 25 years old. Im 5'6'. 65 is an option but I guess I just dont feel that confident at that wieght. I am not as dedicated as I need to be in order to be succesful. I am married now and have a baby and I split the responsibilities of raising my child with my wife. I guess if I realy had my mind in it I could do it but Im just not there right now. I also work full time as a blackjack dealer. If I ever do rededicate myself to boxing I will definitely let you know.
