Where is Daniel Dubois?
Unless I’ve missed it I’ve not seen anything from Dubois since pulling out the Parker fight, why so quiet?

Funnily enough my cousin was saying the same to me yesterday, he recks he's pissed hot but I can't see see Frank covering that up especially after the Benn debacle
Re: Where is Daniel Dubois?
I like that he's quiet, most boxers talk too much.

Re: Where is Daniel Dubois?
it is quite sketchy, and now we know how promoters can hide these things for ages - most recently Benn, and all the others we're hearing about now. seems there's a new way to do all this behind the scenes
Re: Where is Daniel Dubois?
Agree. You usually get a social media post within a few days describing the injury or sickness to fans who missed out. Sometimes from the fighter or the coach or management. In this case it is complete media silence as far as I know.Controversial wrote: ↑16 Mar 2025, 10:47Yeah but it was a world title fight that he pulled out of at the last minute with no real explanation or apology to his fans so a bit odd he’s so quiet.
It's a common courtesy really.
Re: Where is Daniel Dubois?
Both his promoter and trainer have done fairly lengthy interviews putting forward their version of events leading up to Daniel's withdrawal from the fight. What else do people want?KiwiRider wrote: ↑16 Mar 2025, 15:14Agree. You usually get a social media post within a few days describing the injury or sickness to fans who missed out. Re: Where is Daniel Dubois?
Have you ever heard Dubois interview?
What more do you think he will say other than the 4 words that he is told to repeat as the answer to every question.

His high performance interview is really good. He says he doesn't have any social media and produced an old Nokia phone so no wonder he doesn't post anything.
Re: Where is Daniel Dubois?
I think King Tut Tut . Knows all the answers
Re: Where is Daniel Dubois?
Something certainly seems awry. Frank made a bad enough job of explaining him pulling out. Dubois being interviewed would be an absolute liability.

Re: Where is Daniel Dubois?
I’d imagine the interview would go something like this.
‘……..sorry what?’

I listened to his interview earlier, he seemed to go into a lot of detail about being given meds that they needed to contact VADA about to see if safe and then ended it by saying he was told by another doctor not to take them and was prescribed something else. Not sure what the point of the VADA reference was if he didn’t take them anyway.

In his defence he has always been quiet so probably the cynic in all of us is running a mock.
On the other hand everyone who points at AJ (myself included) and says you’d have to be an idiot not to know he isn’t at it also has to point at Greek god huge pec Daniel Dubois and know full well what’s going on.

Re: Where is Daniel Dubois?
If (and I don't know if it happened or not) Daniel did take antihistamine in the lead up to the fight he couldn't possibly have failed a test for the pseudoefedrine that antihistamine likely contained. So all this talk of failed tests and silent bans is complete horsesh*t. Why? As I understand it, it's literally impossible to fail a test for that stuff before a fight because it is only banned in competition.
So, what does that tell us?
If Dubois did take an antihistamine for his ailment (or whatever) without checking its status on the VADA/WADA list, Frank W, or somebody else with their head screwed on, pulled him because they knew he would almost certainly fail a post fight test (in competition test) which would result in trouble. So, ultimately, even if there was a cock-up, by withdrawing from the fight, Daniel has done the right thing - if indeed the speculation has any truth to it.
