Barrios is a mediocre champ but should be way too good for an ancient inactive pac here…

If pac did win though geeeze he could get paid defending wbc welter title…

Tank, Loma, Benn, Garcia, Haney, teo….
Or
Floyd…. McGregor…. Jake Paul…

But honestly, you can’t sanction an inactive 46 year old into title fight no matter howww legendary they are.

I'm hoping Pacquiao fans make the odds close on this one. He was a 4 to 1 favorite over Ugas. I doubt we'll get that lucky again, but maybe he can be even odds against Barrios come fight time.

At that age and with four years off, making a welter return could be highly punishing for Pacquiao even against the solid but tough Barrios

- Ug was a horrible defensive stylistic match up for Manny whereas Thurman was more vintage Manny.

Manny is a joyous nonstop physical freak making movies, playing and owning pro basketball teams, making recordings and movies when not running for office which he will be doing for this fight.

He'll be in top condition as always, but hopefully stays retired after this. Where's his wife in this. Most wouldn't tolerate this risk.

It’s a disgrace that Pacquiao can walk into a title bout after 4 yrs away.
It makes a joke of the sport.

Given the current state of boxing, seems quite fitting.

I read somewhere on social media this morning that Rolly Romero also wants to “defend” his “title” against Manny Pac. I didn’t realize it until I looked it up that Manny hasn’t won a fight in almost six years. Now all the “champions” want a piece of him.

Starting to see some training videos of Pac... seems to still "have it" but probably only in short bursts.. Looks like Freddie may be involved too.

I would assume it still means a significant payday at this point. If I was Romero I'd rather beat u-I mean fight grandpa Pacquiao and make 10 million than fight top Uzbek contender Toughwelter Gnooneheardov for 500k or whatever.
I mean I'm assuming here, what the hell do I know.

This is one that will likely be good for the Gamblers too. Pacquiao having such die hard fans that they at least keep the odds somewhat close, meanwhile Boxing insiders knowing full well the old man is gonna lose, and betting heavily on that belief.

I'm sensing that Manny will do surprisingly well and the decision will be a Draw.

Maybe then Manny will be content to retire from Pro Boxing bouts.

It'd be super interesting to set up an exhibition bout for Manny and Floyd to go at it for an 8 round exhibition bout.
Sometime during the fall season would be ideal.

What would be interesting about that? Exhibition bouts with headgear where guys throw pitty pat punches for 8 rounds isn't as interesting as 2 guys you've never heard of fighting a legit 4 rounder.

I get you're point, but, It'd be Manny and Floyd though.

Floyd will likely continue to have exhibition bouts, probably until he's close to 60 years old.

Obviously he would Never risk losing that Precious "0", from his pro career record. Probably not even versus one of them worker pro's with records like 5-55.

An exhibition bout with Manny and Floyd boxing it up for 8 rounds would be highly entertaining and obviously it'd generate enormous revenue. I don't think either would be wearing headgear. They'd be throwing much harder than pity pat punches as well, I'm quite certain.

Watch Pacquiao's exhibition with DK Yoo. He couldn't have cracked an egg with any of those shots. He could've thrown harder, but he didn't, because that's what Exhibitions are. Fake fights.

People go harder in Sparring.
