Jerry Quarry vrs Tommy Morrison
Im sure this has been done here before in the past but I haven't seen it so who do you got and why?
Re: Jerry Quarry vrs Tommy Morrison
Tommy Morrison would be bombing on Jerry Quarry early, but Jerry was a pretty tough guy, and I think the chances that Tommy punches himself out trying to finish Jerry are high.
My prediction is Jerry Quarry KO 8 after taking a lot of punishment early from Tommy.

Re: Jerry Quarry vrs Tommy Morrison
Jerry Quarry did everything better than Tommy Morrison except for punching power. He had the better chin. He had the better skills.
Quarry by knockout in 9 rounds. Tommy "The Duke" Morrison would be very exhausted by then.

I've been re-considering this one. If Morrison moves like he did against Forman, I think he decisions Quarry.
Re: Jerry Quarry vrs Tommy Morrison
Either the Duke stops Quarry on a cut eye in 8 rounds or Quarry would counter him with punches on the body and head to take a decision or stopping the Duke late.
Re: Jerry Quarry vrs Tommy Morrison
I’d lean toward Quarry-he had a tough chin, good counter-punching, and faced some brutal competition in his era. Morrison had that insane left hook and power, though, so if he caught Quarry early, it could get interesting fast.

Re: Jerry Quarry vrs Tommy Morrison
I've given this one considerable thought over the years.
I always feel that Quarry would win, whether by ko, tko, or a decision.
I guess it depends on which specific version of each boxer would be in the ring.
Both had they're off and on days in the ring.
On a side note I've always pictured each of these guys versus Cooney.
Have always felt that Tommy Morrison would catch Gerrie Cooney with the big left hook. Maybe in round 3 or 4, or maybe not until round 9 or 10.
Contrary to that, I've always felt that Cooney would win against Quarry(Bigger size difference discrepancy). At least the 1981-1982 version of Cooney.
It's one of them Styles make fights Contrasting Pyramid analytical scenario situations I think.![[icon_e_geek.gif] :geek:](./images/smilies/icon_e_geek.gif)
