Boxxer Limited Financial Struggles Revealed in Latest Company Accounts
According to the new data from Companies House, Boxxer Limited reported a sharp fall in net assets from a positive £1.02 million in 2023 to a negative £1.72 million in the financial year of 2024/25. The near £2.74 million swing is largely tied to a major hit to retained earnings, which dropped from £(179k) to £(2.92 million). The numbers suggest a sharp operational loss over the past year.
• Cash reserves fell from £2.55 million to £1.82 million.
• Short-term creditors rose from £2.76 million to £3.2 million.
• Net current assets dropped from a £1 million surplus to a £666k deficit.
In addition, long-term debt surged from £114k to £1.1 million an increase of nearly £1 million in non-current borrowings, indicating the business likely had to rely on external funding to plug operational gaps.
Tangible Assets Contract
Boxxer’s tangible asset base also shrank, down from £93k to just £55k a modest but symbolic sign of a company in contraction.
From mounting short-term liabilities to rising long-term debt and deteriorating liquidity, Boxxer Limited’s 2024/25 financial snapshot paints a picture of a company under pressure. While the business continues to operate and still promotes major events its accounts show that survival may hinge not just on future growth, but on the continued goodwill of those it owes.

They over spent, and didn't spend wisely, then when the writing was on the wall, they drained it ready to fold.
That's my understanding of it.
That's my understanding of it.

You think the cash on account was drained to literally £0 from one filing to the next as preparation to make the company bankrupt and fornicate the creditors?
Re: Boxxer Limited Financial Struggles Revealed in Latest Company Accounts

If boxer were hypothetically to file for bankruptcy, would the creditors get to auction off the contracted fighters to other promoters, or would bankruptcy void there contract…
Re: Boxxer Limited Financial Struggles Revealed in Latest Company Accounts
Are the contracts with Boxxer? If so, why are there no intangible assets listed in the accounts - if I'm reading them correctly? I'm not been accusatory, I'm not an accountant and don't fully understand but surely if a company signed a top sportsman to contract, that in itself would be an intangible asset of the company? Perhaps the contracts are signed with Ben personally?gregregegg wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025, 01:46 If boxer were hypothetically to file for bankruptcy, would the creditors get to auction off the contracted fighters to other promoters, or would bankruptcy void there contract…
Whatever the situation and however things play out with Sky, I hope Ben and Boxxer keep going and do well. He seems like a good lad to me, and the country needs young people with drive and the willingness to take risks.

I don’t know much about accounts but are figures published always accurate, a decent accountant can probably do wonders

They are accurate in a sense, but often manipulated to show a certain picture. For instance to reduce a potential tax bill!Controversial wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025, 02:51 I don’t know much about accounts but are figures published always accurate, a decent accountant can probably do wonders

Re: Boxxer Limited Financial Struggles Revealed in Latest Company Accounts
Maybe not intentionally at first, but there comes a time (when contracts are ending and you haven't delivered) that CFO's start looking at what there is of value, and what they can get out of it.johninmanchester wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025, 18:43You think the cash on account was drained to literally £0 from one filing to the next as preparation to make the company bankrupt and fornicate the creditors?
It's only my guess. But it seems standard practice in the unscrupulous world of business.

Pre-Sky they were a Temu version of Prizefighter
Post-Sky, they're going to wither and die
TNT certainly won't be picking them up right now - https://www.gbnews.com/sport/football/t ... -discovery
