Who would you like Moses Itauma to fight next?
A world title fight is preposterous given his record, so who would aid his development?
Andy Ruiz for me. Hittable, boxes barely once a year, will probably give him rounds and the casuals will lap it up.

Ruiz is one I'd throw in the mix. If not him. Maybe Zhang. Hrgovic. Bakole, Ajagba, Dereck Chisora or Pulev.
Re: Who would you like Moses Itauma to fight next?
The plan really seems to be WBO.
Moses has defended his Intercontinental belt five consequitive times since it was vacated by Parker being moved up.
So I'm guessing his next opponent will be for an eliminator to facing Parker- who seems likely to be 'overlooked' by Uysk.
So it could be highly ranked Hysa with the European, or perhaps Huni with the "Global"
I don't mind either of those.

Every one of them well past there use by date , Jeezuz people were virtually demanding Chisora be put out to pasture 5 years ago ,gilgamesh wrote: ↑16 Aug 2025, 23:44And he's a Former World ChampionBilly Tully wrote: ↑16 Aug 2025, 22:43 A world title fight is preposterous given his record, so who would aid his development?

If i was Huni's manager i would be letting it known , we would take it BUT only for BIG MONEY , Huni is fast wether he would be fast enough to not get caught over 12 rnds , it would cost them too find out . , Problem with feeding a hitter, cannon fodder , shouting from the trees he's the second coming off christ , It eventually cost bigger dollars to get him in the ring with someone . Especilly now there intent on making him a PPV star its gonna cost , whats more so it shouldKiwiRider wrote: ↑17 Aug 2025, 00:05 The plan really seems to be WBO.

And he should've been, but since he didn't go he can have another reason to be put thereconeye wrote: ↑17 Aug 2025, 00:07Every one of them well past there use by date , Jeezuz people were virtually demanding Chisora be put out to pasture 5 years ago ,gilgamesh wrote: ↑16 Aug 2025, 23:44And he's a Former World ChampionBilly Tully wrote: ↑16 Aug 2025, 22:43 A world title fight is preposterous given his record, so who would aid his development?

Re: Who would you like Moses Itauma to fight next?
Someone fringe top 10.
Efe Ajagba would be my pick. Big tall guy, arguably should have a win over Bakole, decent chin, and just signed to Fwank.
I expect it to be Hrgovic, though. Which I don't mind at all.

Hrgovic is certainly Top 10. You could argue Top 5, but I have him just outside of that.
Re: Who would you like Moses Itauma to fight next?
My guess whoever it is will be for the WBO title leading to a match with Usyk, so possibly Parker if he's up for a bashing.

Hrgovic might be out for a while with that cut but I would like to see Itauma in against him next. I can’t see it happening but I would like to see him in with Dubois as well

Franklin asap (October)
Hrgovic once cut is healed (December)
Parker (march)
Usyk (July)
Obviously only moving through the list if he wins and wins well.

Re: Who would you like Moses Itauma to fight next?
Can we add a poll to this thread?
For me:
- Hrgovic
- Zhang is fun fight
- winner of Hunter vs Miller
- Torrez Jr (would never happen at this stage and Torrez would get blasted early)
- Joseph Parker
- Andy Ruiz - is he still fighting!?
- Ajagba
- Bakole
But funnest fight would be Fabio Wardley

Re: Who would you like Moses Itauma to fight next?
Hughie Fury
Itauma needs to fight someone who is gonna last the distance. Failing that, Pulev. Gotta be somebody with a chin. Though I reckon Pulev is shot now and won't last three rounds.
So gotta be Hughie.

Re: Who would you like Moses Itauma to fight next?
I think Itauma deals with Wardley very quickly, Technically he’s on a different level. Wardley is a KO highlight waiting to happen
Re: Who would you like Moses Itauma to fight next?
Pulev is an interesting one. I'm sure his chin isn't what it once was but I don't think it was ever the best. He's just a frustrating and wiley veteran who knows how to spoil fights. I doubt he would win but if he still has anything left he can ask some questions that others won't be able to.tigermoth87 wrote: ↑17 Aug 2025, 05:32 Hughie Fury

Re: Who would you like Moses Itauma to fight next?
I think Parker is too soon for him, a bad KO, which may well be the result of one punch could ruin his career
There are blokes he can get rounds from, Hrgovic probably the best example, Ruiz too

Someone who will hit him back, but without a big punch, to show him he needs to get that the defence tight, before he meets the big hitters.
I think most of those on the list would be too much for him just yet, Ruiz possesses that demon left hook that could curtail things pretty quickly - Franklin is the perfect one just now, or Hunter, or Furie ( dull ) not Del Boy he’s punchy enough already
