I’m hearing talk about this.

In Birmingham, vacant British title.

Clarke will have a walk in the park

Is he still with Benny?

Seems about the right fight to make for them both. Clarke should win easily. He can then face Adeleye.

If TKV puts a bit more cardio in his training, this fight could be entertaining.
I feel for the way he lost on a foul shot, hope he makes the best of this opportunity if it happens.

Why is the British title vacant? Adeleye hasn't left the division or improved his status.

Clarke should start a strong favourite. TKV looks low on quality.

Because Adeleye was later adjudged to have won on a foul, a rematch was ordered.
Adeleye didn't want it and took the money fight in Saudi instead

It’s great to see heavyweight boxing back on the BBC, just get some needless aggro going at the press conferences, to get disapproving press coverage - throw an egg, throw a cream pie..what the hell, get people to tune in whatever it takes….trouble is this guy TKV Is about the last fighter you want flag bearing for the return of boxing on terrestrial TV, based on the last time we saw him

Unless he slims down & comes out swinging, and we get Hagler Hearns for three rounds

Realistically FW wouldn't have made the fight between TKV and Adeleye, TKV isn't good TV viewing

I didn't expect any better from Ben Schlong and the BBC.

Better than I expected for the BBC's first show. I'll be amazed if I see any male World title fights on the beeb.

Back in the early 2000s your British title fights with Danny Williams and Peter Oboh were the common level of fight along with Harrison, Haye and Froch's development fights. You'd then occasionally get a European title fight with the likes of Nicky Cook and Eesham Pickering and we got very lucky indeed to have Clinton Woods's first two fights against Glencoffe Johnson I think, I've got an incling the third fight that he won vs Johnson was not on the bbc but I might be wrong.

Really ? Clarke's already had his bubble burst and TMV looks poor to me. As a main event, it's not much of a scoop :maybe:

TKV, after being involved in, and losing the worst British HW title fight in at least 7 years* is getting another shot? :maybe:
And his opponent arguably lost twice trying to get the title?
And this is the main event to a flagship show by the BBC?

I think looking how Hirgovic has bounced back to being in the reckoning, people might be a bit premature in writing off Clarke.

He did draw against a guy who is now well in the top 10 not that long ago.

:bag:
I'm betting on Clarke Craqdi. He easily won. My dad says the same, so I'm going with him. We'll see, but he has a good appeal.

It’s not that far behind Itauma Whyte in terms of intrigue and possible excitement and it’s £16 cheaper to be fair to the BBC

I'd say it's way behind Ituama. Moses is the man on every boxing fans lips at the moment. He's got people buzzing.

Clarke has a lot to do to get his credibility and interest back and as for TMV....

p.s. don't forget the BBC isn't actually free....if you pay the licence fee ;-)

Yep, some things are just "more free", cheaper or take the appearance as free. You just have to decide which option you want.

Ruthless-RKO, in theory Channel 5 generate their revenue from advertising.

The licence fee is essentially levied for the BBC.
