The versions from their respective appearances at Wembley.
Dubois from Joshua/Usyk 2 fights vs Povetkin from the Joshua fight.
Of course, fight takes place at Wembley. Povetkin attempts to snatch the IBF belt from Dubois.

Re: Daniel Dubois vs Alexander Povetkin
I'm completely biased, so I'll pick Povetkin by midrounds stoppage.

It's not inconceivable :) Whether you are biased or not)keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑27 Aug 2025, 05:38 I'm completely biased, so I'll pick Povetkin by midrounds stoppage.
Re: Daniel Dubois vs Alexander Povetkin
The timeframe of the match is biased here. You're picking the best version of Dubois up against one of the worst version's of Povetkin.2128778 wrote: ↑27 Aug 2025, 11:33It's not inconceivable :) Whether you are biased or not)keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑27 Aug 2025, 05:38 I'm completely biased, so I'll pick Povetkin by midrounds stoppage.

Fair point. And as an author of the post - I take full responsibilitygilgamesh wrote: ↑27 Aug 2025, 12:26The timeframe of the match is biased here. That said, there are instances, when matching the best version of fighter A against not exactly the best version of fighter B still won't give a definitive answer on who's gonna win. Depends on the match-up.
I think, Povetkin from the Joshua fight would still have a good shot against Dubois. Short, compact and accurate combination punchers will always be a headache for DDD.
Re: Daniel Dubois vs Alexander Povetkin
These guys seem like they'd be fairly evenly matched at any point though. Style wise at least. I think Povetkin has an edge in toughness here.2128778 wrote: ↑27 Aug 2025, 13:11Fair point. And as an author of the post - I take full responsibility

Either Povetkin take a decision or stopping Dubois late.

Re: Daniel Dubois vs Alexander Povetkin
good match up, each guy could win this. prime povetkin from when he was caught with meldonium i'd favour, he had the power to break dan's heart and pretty good technique for a puncher too. the whyte ko is one of the best executed jab, slip, bang knockouts ive seen, and pov was already way past it at that time
pov had a decent but not great chin and dubs hits hard enough to ring his bell, but i think prime pov had more to work with
