If you are about to rank Bud Crawford in the top 100 pound per pound all-time boxers list, where would you rank him now, at this moment?
He has been undisputed champion in 3 weight classes. He is undefeated at 38 years old.
Is there any more mountains for Bud to climb?

He's become a Top all time boxer. I'd put him above Duran off of this. Possibly over Leonard even. He's in THAT league

Last night was no upset, imo. My money was on Crawford cause I thought Canelo had slipped. With modern conditioning methods, I didn't think moving up in weight was very significant. At 147, Crawford isn't beating Leonard or Hearns, imo. And that's just to name a couple of welters I think are better than Bud. Crawford is a great fighter but not somebody who I'd argue in the best ever in any of the weight classes he's fought in- not by a mile.

I don't put feelings in it. I call it what I see it. Then, the one that debates me, gets personal and then they flipped it as me as the one that started the argument.
I don't think that Terence "Bud" Crawford was better than Muhammad Ali nor Roberto Duran. The two truest greatest boxers of the last 60 years.

Almost no boxer can compete with the achievements of the Robinson's and the Greb's of the world as far as achievements and frankly no boxer should ever try because as we saw there were horrific long term repercussions to fighting that many fights.
But in terms of any boxer in the modern era. Say 1965 or so to now Crawford's achievements stack up well against anyone honestly. Most fighters have a lot of fights, but ultimately only a handful of truly big ones.
When we say he hasn't fought many fights. I mean yeah that's true, but who does in the modern era?
Sugar Ray Leonard fought less fights than Crawford and when he was younger than Crawford is now he couldn't whip Terry Norris.

Settle down people. He beat Canelo, a man who has been outboxed before and who has often enjoyed very favourable judging. A good win for sure, but not one that earns you all time great status.
After Canelo, Bud's opponents are not so much a Who's Who of boxing but a Who's Not. Khan, Brook, Errol Spence? Come on. The issue with grading modern boxers is that belts are plentiful, the talent pool is shallow, and everything they do is hyped to death.

Look at hopkins resume compared to crawfords. There is just no comparison - crawfords best 3 wins are errol spence, canelo and shawn porter. For years his beat win was gamboa. He languished in no mans land with bob arum for years fighting joke opposition
To me hes like andre ward. All time great fighter who has a thin resume

He's pretty well ahead of Ward. Hopkins has a lot of good wins, but he doesn't have any 1 win as big as the Canelo victory i don't think. He does have more names overall on his record.
Ward's best win on his record is a decision he didn't deserve against Kovalev and a TKO he achieved with low blows in the rematch.
It does hurt Crawford that some of the guys he beat for titles are literally known only for losing to him. Like Viktor Postol or Julius Indongo. I don't remember any fight those guys ever had after Crawford.

He has not retired yet. But, he got the credentials right now.
