Tim Bradley

Post by stujones »

Just was looking at the records and noted (and perhaps it was done a while ago) that Tim Bradley's record says a loss against Manny Pacquiao in fight 1. I didn't think the decision was officially reversed by the sanctioning body (although I appreciate when looked by judges in appeal they scored it for Pacquiao. So not sure what his official record will be. Are those score cards under the fight the official fight score cards, or the score cards from the appeal?

Sanctioning bodies have no statutory authority, they just awards belts, the Commission in charge of the event decides the result. These days the Commission will often appoint judges from the Sanctioning body but still retains the final say. In this case the Sanctioning body (WBO) revised the result, the commission (Nevada) did not.
