Well done on ruining another great fight with a shambolic stoppage. Absolute mug.

Bullshit stoppage.

He saw an opportunity to give Fabio the win.

Would've certainly went to the cards, neither of them were hurt enough to go down imo, 2 great chins, 2 great engines. Any other ref it goes to the cards.

At least Herb let's it go too far sometimes, Foster only stops them too early.

This one is on par with Froch-Groves. 2 brilliant fights that were denied a fitting ending. I'm seriously pissed off..Not watched boxing in ages, tune in to a proper great fight that could've went either way, now we'll never know.

Parker slumped on the ropes, don't see a problem with the stoppage...... Guessing people lost some betting money

Incompetence or dishonesty?

Is there a petition we can sign to ban Foster from refereeing big fights.

Er, the latter.

And Bunce towing the party line afterwards as only he can.

Nothing will happen. Brit boxing can be such a cesspit.

Yeah, I'm going with the latter too.
Dubois v Lerena was also Foster

i was backing Joe to win but don't have a huge problem with the stoppage, just like I didn't with the Huni decision. we were just saved seeing a stretcher.

I'm curious to know if Foster would have stopped it if roles had been reversed though. Parker doesn't whack like Wardley but still could have hurt a defenceless Fab. this is the heavyweight division after all.

We all wanted them to fight on to answer the question of whether Parker could sustain the beating long enough to capitalise on Wardley's post-salvo exhaustion, but Foster's predilections aside, stopping it early saved at least one man from potentially serious injury.

Neither would've dropped their shield and it wasn't the worst stoppage in recent times. The uppercut at 2:19 seemed to hurt Parker, who was caught again after responding, and then slowly raised his dropped guard, immobile on the ropes with exhaustion. Watching the replay he had his wits to get his gloves back up and could've taken some more, but his body language in the moment made me think the end was probably nigh.

It was corruption. I am not even going to call it incompetence or a bad call.

If this was Wardley on the recieving end like that, there is absolutely ZERO chance it would have been stopped. He saw a chance to give the fight to Wardley and took it.

This one should be investigated and the decision reversed. Worst robbery I have seen for years.

I think it's possible for both things to be true! Foster Fostered it, but at the same time I can see how a good ref might've stopped it out of concern for Parker's resignation to soak up more. He volunteered himself to the ropes on apparent fumes.

30 seconds later the tables might've turned, and Parker has every right to feel aggrieved about that, but he gave the appearance of having so little left. If he'd moved to either side etc. I know leaning on the ropes is a valid tactic in that kind of late-fight situation, routine even, but you can't risk it looking like it isn't deliberate.

Fury was flat on his back with his eyes closed in the first Wilder fight and the ref gave him the count. Parker didn't even eat any of those shots in that final sequence and Foster is jumping in ffs, pathetic.

I've seen worse stoppages but would he have stopped it if Wardley was in that position?

No

It was actually a shot that missed that led the ref to jump in, Parkers instinct wasn't relief, it was to angrily shove Foster.

The New Zealander fought his heart out, was ahead on the cards, and the fight was coming to a gripping climax.

Both fighters deserve a bit of fair play

This is why I was so pissed, I actually had £20 on Wardley stoppage which was the Skybet in play price boost, but k wanted to see how it would've ended, I suspect ot goes to the cards but it was thrilling stuff in the championship rounds. What a wally Foster is, does it all the time.
