Why aren't most people cut out for amateur boxing/competing?
Re: Why aren't most people cut out for amateur boxing/competing?
Most people aren’t cut out for amateur boxing because it requires strict discipline, mental toughness, and comfort with getting hit. The training is hard, the pressure is real, and the lifestyle demands sacrifice. Many people prefer comfort over challenge.

I remember Floyd Patterson saying no one should ever be forced to box. The military academies in America mandate boxing and there is a concussion epidemic.
