Willie Pep VS Percy Bassett in 1952 or 1953

Bassett was a slugger type and maybe would be a very tough fight for Pep at that time. On the other hand, Bassett might have a tougher time with Pep than he would have with Sandy Saddler due to their different styles. Bassett and Saddler would no doubt have a real slugfest whereas Bassett might find Pep hard to hit.

So, who wins, Pep or Bassett in 1952 or 1953?

At that time (1952 or 1953) I think that Bassett could have taken Pep. I think that Pep had slipped plenty by then. Pep before plane crash probably takes Bassett. After that, prime Bassett has a good chance.
