I have a clipping giving Arthurs hometown as Southampton, does anyone else have this.

He's listed on prewarboxing.co.uk as being from Birkenhead:

Perhaps the paper made a mistake? I've come across lots of examples of old newspapers getting a fighter's hometown wrong.

It was the New York Times where i read the article,so they prob did get it wrong.
