New fighter

Post by 1461093 »

Hello! I'm a pretty new fighter here I have 6 fights 2-4 and I don't know what to do at this point I am 16 years old and 155lbs 70kg but I fight around 150lbs or 67-68kg I do not like the weight class I'm in but I feel the best in it. I like to be aggressive but I still like to box. my last 3 fights I have lost and they where by brawlers so I don't want to stay in this weight. What should I do drop down to 140lbs/63-64kg? or stay where Im at and just get a different style? Please help! also I don't know if this helps but I'm around 15% bf and 5'9

How can you be 70k, box at 68 and can even think about getting down to 63kg?

Box at your natural weight. Losing weight every time you go in the ring when your a growing 16 year old will not help you to progress.

Brawlers come in all shapes, sizes and weights. You can't avoid them.

To summarise: Your worrying too much about your weight when you should be concentrating on developing your skillset.
