Boxing tonight

Post by SeanBrennan »

Hello everyone

If anyone is looking for boxing on tonight there is a card starting at 4pm in Istanbul, one at 530pm in Liverpool (albeit a white collary type thing with Luke Dyson on it promoted by Darren Till), and a German card at 6pm. All on Dazn.

I’m not cheerleading Dazn, I’m tied into my contract with them until I’m about 107 so making the most of it.

Thanks Sean, I'll probably find myself watching the main event in Germany - even though it's really poor.

My pleasure. I don’t mind the German cards as they at least normally have a few HW fights on. Turkish cards just starting, it’s impressive as they always speak English. I’m English and haven’t mastered English yet 🤣

I started threads on the German and Turkish cards over on CS, just seen the UK card this morning, wasn't even sure if it was boxing, MMA or bare knuckle

I like Luke Dyson though he travels all over fighting and it’s usually just him and his missus and one mate rocking up

What a shit show, there's no reason for boxing on a good level to be on every week, bet there's loads of lads looking to earn.
Gutted the big Queensbury show has been pulled.

It hasn't been, though. Dalton last week, Josh Kelly in a fortnight, that's two world title shows involving a Brit in a month. Add in the cancelled Mag 7 show and it's been busy.

Point well made. I’m watching the Liverpool card it’s not bad, one fight in

Yeah if Moses hadn’t pulled out this would have surely be one of the better January’s.

Just tuning into the Liverpool card now, German card didn’t look too impressive.

Watched the Chadwick/Dyson main event , never realized it was 5 2 minute rounds, not that it mattered as Chadwick stopped Dyson in the 4th, both were mad musclebound never looked like boxers, Dyson was especially slow and stiff, Chadwick had him down 3 times, a counter right hand dropped Dyson in the 2nd then he was giving another count in the 3rd, not sure the punch even landed but he went down and seemed to dislocate his arm, thought it would've been stoped there but fair play he carried on but Chadwick got him out of there in the 4th, stunned Dyson with a jab then followed up with a right which put Dyson down again, he got up but his corner stopped it

I fell asleep yet again! Watching it now.

I’ve slept through half the fights I “watch”. The cats watched it though.

I watched Dyson fight a few times so half knew what to expect there, didn't even know who Lee chadwick was til a week or so ago and having seen hed been about a bit expected better punching from him

Looks like a tidier, more composed and sharper fighter could get him on the counter

Good heads-up, I usually miss these early cards.
I’ll probably check the Liverpool one later, even if it’s more of a small promotional event on DAZN.
