Worldwide PPV at Risk, Diaz pulls out.

Juan Diaz has pulled out of the huge ESPN April 23rd card due to sustaining a cut whilst Sparring. It is unclear at the moment when Diaz, who was due to fight hardman Ebo Elder, is likely to a fit to resume.

As this was part of the 3 fight card to be shown on US PPV and an internet audience one does wonder if this effects the status of the bill and its PPV price.

Balls I just ordered that bill 2 hours ago and I thought Diaz - Elder was going to be a cracker

Apparently ESPN will make some announcement on it - so it could the price might be reduced.

Well I have ordered it on DVD :( However I am looking forward to McCline - Brock A good sink or swim test for Brock who I think can pull it off

Yes, both other fights are interesting. Whilst I think Diaz vs Elder was the fight of the night - I think it was the most one sided looking of the bouts. I think the gulf of difference between the two is the similar to recent Jermain Taylor vs Daniel Eduard. One is world class and the other is NABF title class.

Estrada vs Moseley is interesting because of the weight and it will be interesting to see how much Shane has left.

Brock vs McCline is very interesting, I like Brock - I think he can be a real contendor. I'm surprised he is the betting underdog.

Yes I think if Elder got off to a slow start and allowed Diaz to dictate the fight to his own pace Juan would have punished him and stopped him mid-late. But with Ebo's one punch power and Diaz's relative inexperience I thought Elder could have posed him some problems as Elder although only 26 has been in 3 or 4 real dogfights

McClown will beat Brock. Brock is ordinary, I see nothing to suggest he can be a contender, 'even in this piss poor scene' (God, how often is that said now?)

I'm tempted to include the risky 'trust me', but I'll reserve that for the weigh in.

Margarito/Cintron is temptingly fascinating! (stupid phrase). Interestingly intriguing! I see Margarito cruding his way to victory, using his greater experience, toughness and bludgeoning ebullience to weather the Cintron power storm.

I go for the other two Brock and Cintron

I think McCline can be ponderous and can lose heart very quickly so I see Brock using his speed and movement to frustrate McCline and having the type of power to keep McCline honest while he boxes his way to a points win.

I thought Margarito was poor against Santos last year and looked a bit gun-shy against Lujan in his last fight and may be slipping. I think Cintron's team wouldnt put him in against Margarito unless they really fancied their chances so I go for Cintron to outwork an maybe floor Margarito early before winning by a wide margin on points

Clif Etienne had Brock in serious trouble before his punch resistance disgraced him yet again.
