I'm not sure this particular one was brought up here before, but let's discuss it.
Tyson coming off the win over Etienne. Sanders coming off a win over Wlad.
Both weren't able to get Roy Jones into the ring later that year and would get on a one-year layoff.
But let's say both fought each other instead.
How much of a chance would you have given Mike to take Sander's belt in late 2003?
Mike Tyson vs Corrie Sanders (2003)
Re: Mike Tyson vs Corrie Sanders (2003)
Both of these guys tended to burn out after 3 or 4 rounds at this age of their careers so it's actually really interesting to ponder what would've happened.
Sanders had quicker hands at this point, and honestly the bravery he showed against Vitali is probably enough to indicate he would've shown more heart in the fight with Tyson at this stage of their respective careers.
I'd give it to Sanders by KO in 4 or 5.
