These guys never fought 15 at championship level, only 12.
Either way I see Toney by decision.
So long as he wasn’t cutting 50 pounds to make the weight

The only weight classes they both competed at were 160 and 175. In either weight class, I favor Hopkins to win a Unanimous decision.

The version of Toney that fought McCallum against the vs of Hopkins that fought Tito would be the ideal version. The only time this match was realistically a possibility was around 2004 or so when a Cruiserweight catchweight bout may have been a possibility. I don't think any talks between the 2 fighters ever got serious though.

I believe, it was 2003. After Toney won that cruiserweight belt from Zhirov. Like you said, nothing materialized. That's when Toney moved up to HW to fight Holyfield.

Either Lights Out or B-Hop would take a decision in a war.

James "Lights Out" Toney beats Bernard Hopkins by decision. This is a fight of two great and complete boxers in my view.

Hopkins by clear decision. Terrible style matchup for Toney I reckon.

Toney decision. Hopkins dirty tricks would not work against Toney.

Agree. James "Lights Out" Toney was very tricky himself.

Fight was going to happen

Toney vs bhop

Rjj vs holyfield

Bhop torpedoed it over money sit(his mo when he lacked confidence)

Rjj did the same over don king

Toney fought holyfield instead

As for this dream fight toney wins. Hopkins would wresle but toney is better inside. Hopkins would them try and us lateral movement but toney could catch bhop - he aint roy

Hopkins wins a UD by about 5 pts. When Toney fought a prime RJJ he got embarrassed, when B-Hop did it he gave him a close fight.
