No

Why not? Because he's well behind being worthy of it.

Any further questions?

He'd have to still be Champion 3 or 4 years from now to even make it worth asking.

I don't like to include fighters until 5 years after their last bout.

I remember back in 2017/18 there were plenty (online) saying Loma was the best of all time.

He was bloody brilliant, but it's hard to say that when a fighter only has 21 pro bouts.

Armstrong made 19 defences between 1938 & 1940, as well as fighting other great fighters in other divisions.

It's too hard to compare fighters now with the 1920s-1950s.

Anyway, back to Usyk. He's definitely in my top ten European fighters :D

He's #1 all time for the country of Ukraine definitely. Wladimir is the only one who could have an argument against him and I think Usyk wins that argument.

Less fights than Usyk but he lost 3 of em. That's what about Loma.

Although I don't think Haney really beat him.

The top 5 are nailed on. In any order you like but below in chronological.

Langford, Greb, Armstrong, Charles, Robinson...

Then after that the candidates are, in no order, Tunney, Moore, Walker, Burley, Gans, Leonard (Benny), Duran, Pep and a load of other I missed out and/or forgot.

The problem is that the older guys fought so many more times that it's hard for modern fighters to really get close to their achievements.

In the end it's all just playground talk, but an awful lot of fun too.

I came into boxing in the Larry Holmes years. There are not many Heavyweight from Holmes onwards I would back to beat Usyk...if any...

Yes

Athletes get better with every generation. That's a scientific fact. Hence, no fighter from the past would be able to defeat Usyk. Hence, he is the greatest of all time.

I think usyk
Deserves his place in the top10

He took on the
Very best cruserweights in their backyard and has swept aside the best heavyweights

The problem with this argument is that if Usyk went back to the past he would face the same nutritional & medical issues that fighters of the past did.

And if they came to the future they would reap the same benefits as him from modern day science & nutrition.

And he also won 40 more fights, and had more Heavyweight Championship fights than anyone not named Joe Louis.

Top 20 or 25 or 30 maybe. Depends on the day. The problem is the level of opponents.

Loma is the greatest Ukrainian fighter ever.

Talent wise possibly. Achievement wise, he's 3rd best.

I think you nailed it
All the HOF heavies had way, way more fights. Also the only heavy he manages to KO is Dubois (twice).
Look at the guys doing 100+ fights with 15 rounds and Uysk belongs above them?
Nah

Best cruiser in its strongest era imo, but only the best heavy in one of its weakest. So to rate him P4P top ten you either have to appreciate his cruiser career enough to qualify largely by itself, or believe he'd have beaten at least a few great heavies from the past.

He has multiple wins over the consensus 2 and 3 of the era in an era which, while not great, is not the worst. Who are the top 10 heavies of the best era's who have managed to get consistent top level wins?
