Cervantes would stick his long jabs and outbox Judah with left-right combinations to either take a decision or stopping him late.

Cervantes would lay out Judah at some point.

A lot people forgot how good Antonio Cervantes, the Kid Pambele was...He was Colombia first boxing world champion.

In the 70s decade, there were rumors about a super fight against the great Roberto Duran at 140lbs, for Cervantes' WBA World Jr Welterweight Championship belt. Why that fight didn't materialized? I don't know. But, I don't think that Duran had that fight easy. It would have been one of the toughest fights both of them ever had.

In November, 1983, Carlos Eleta admitted he didn't accept a Duran-Cervantes fight because he felt Cervantes was too big for Duran. However, in retrospect in light of Duran's win over Leonard, Eleta admitted rejecting the fight was a mistake.
