Errol Spence v Tim Tszyu - July 25th in Oz

Post by Taansend »

I heard that this fight was going to happen but I did not believe it.

Saying that, I didn't think we'd see Keith Thurman come back either.

Maybe after he fights Tszyu we can see Spence v Thurman :D

Errol was quality but never the same after the accident(s). Saying that, his career won't be remembered as a great one. A good one, but not great. I'd rate him a little lower than another Jamaican American boxer, Simon Brown.

People tend to underrate Spence a lot. Until that Crawford demoliton, he was beasting in every single fight.

When Spence fought brook and won his title he looked like ths hottest property in boxing. Thing is he only fought another 6 times in the next 6 years! Solid ww wins like porter, ugas, brook but not great. Both garcias, great names but north of optimum weight.

His best chance v crawford was when bud first moved up. Errol, like the other pbc fighters didnt fancy him.

He probably should of moved up sooner, fought the charlos, hurds, williams etc.

I really like him but i think this fight is just a big fat cash out and i couldnt give two fcuks who wins.

Still think Brook could have beat him if he hadnt went upto mw for ggg. Kell looked the better operator. Maybe thats bias and i'm overlooking the bodywork spence invested in from rd1 which wore brook down.

Naah, he was 'beasting' up until about 2019 then he was getting by.

The porter fight was wafer thin.

Jermell Charlo has been added to the card.

I'd love for him to fight Eubank. I know that won't happen but it would be a laugh seeing Charlo getting wound up by Eubank.

It would be nice if Charlo fought a live opponent but I doubt it. Any local Aus or NZ boys worth a look in?
