Terry Washington vs Axel Vega

Post by handsofstone »

Light fly action on DAZN tonight (29th) from America as 7-0 Washington takes on former world title challenger Vega, Washington has 6 KOs in 7 so carries power for a little dude, Vega put in a sterling effort against Kyoguchi for his light fly title 5 years ago before hurting his hand and getting stopped, he also dropped a decision to Angelino Cordova

Looks a good test for Washington

i saw vega fight before, he was listed at 4'11. although boxrec has him at 5'0

that makes me think.....who is the best boxer in the world under 5 feet tall. and what would the all time list look like

Washington wins a split, wrong winner imo, I had Vega ahead 96-93, he dropped Washington in the 4th, he's just a wee pocket rocket Vega, was just on Washington from the off, Washington is tall and lanky for the weight, was up on his toes flicking out the jab trying to keep Vega at bay but it was a struggle, Vega caught him in the 4th with a left hook which dumped him on his arse, after that Vega got a bit predictable trying to land the big right, ref never helped constantly warning Vega for low blows when they mostly looked fine, Washington had to move all the time just to keep Vega off him, nearly all the eye catching shots came from Vega, Washington looked a bit negative and couldnt wait for the end, I thought Vega out hustled him and should've got the win
