My name is Rama Sabturi, and I am a fighter from East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
I began my martial arts journey in 2019. At that time, I competed in one amateur Muay Thai bout. Shortly afterward, I transitioned directly into professional MMA, and my professional MMA record can be viewed on tapology.com
The reason I only had one amateur Muay Thai fight before moving into professional MMA was not due to a lack of interest in amateur competition. Rather, it was because amateur combat sports events in my region were extremely limited, and in many cases almost nonexistent.
Competing professionally in MMA became the only realistic way for me to gain experience, travel to other regions, and receive the necessary accommodation and support to continue my career as a fighter.
At the time, I did not place much importance on documenting my amateur bouts.
However, after discovering BoxRec and seeing how it preserves the history and achievements of fighters, I realized how valuable these records truly are.
For me, these fights are more than just results.
They represent years of sacrifice, dedication, personal growth, and the journey I have taken as a martial artist.
Having them recorded on BoxRec would allow that journey to be properly documented and preserved for the future.
