Thomas Hearns vs. Ayub Kalule

Post by scorpio83 »

15 Rounds Super Welterweight Bout

The Hitman would overwhelm the southpaw Ugandan behind his height and long reach by jabbing and landing big right hands to either take a decision or stopping him late as the Hitman was the class above. What do you guys think and who do you got?

I'd take Hearns by Ko in 6 or less rounds. Hearns does everything better and at 154 Hearns was at his best. I don't think he would struggle much with Kalule

Only the greats Mike McCallum and Sugar Ray Robinson would have beaten the great Thomas Hearns at 154lbs. Any other fighter against him at 154lbs would get seriously hurt and crushed. Just ask the great Roberto Duran. Would anybody beat that Hearns of that night that he decapitated Manos de Piedra?

Or how about the Hitman of the Fred Hutchins fight in which he won in two rounds?

Ayub Kalule ain't beating Hearns not even with a prayer at this weight. Hearns was in a different class! Hearns by knockout in 6.

I don't think Tommy has the problems that Ray did with Ayub, but it would take him around 5 rounds to do the trick.

I had SRL ahead by 5 when he stopped Kalule. I wouldn't say he was having problems.

It wasn't one of his best looking fights though.
