What's the dope on Bouttier? I know he was a top-rated middleweight for several years, so you'd think that alone proves his world-class creds. But I remember Sir Compton posting comments to the effect that Bouttier was more of an advanced club-fighter than a bonafide contender. I don't know what to believe.
I'm guessing Bouttier had to be a bad-@ss if he survived 15 rounds with Carlos Monzon.
Can anyone fill me in? What were Bouttier's strengths and weaknesses?
