Valdez wins by clear cut - possibly even wide - UD.

How do you see the action playing out? I've seen lots of the prime Valdez (before he lost Corro), and he always struck me as a certified bad@ss of a fighter. Fast hands, fluid moves, cracking KO power, and the ability to box, counter-punch, or slug superbly.

All I've seen of Fullmer is highlights of his fights against SRR. Although I rate Fullmer as pretty good, I always assumed he lacked the speed and agility to deal with someone like Valdez. I'm guessing - based on what little Ive seen - that Gene puts up a good fight, but that he doesn't win. Maybe I'm wrong.

Valdes would outbox and outpunch Fullmer to either take a decision or stopping him late.

Gene Fullmet was as smart as any other smart fighter of his era. He just wasn't full force and great conditioning.

Against boxers, he would use his physical strength and aggression along with his great conditioning and mauled you to death.

Against sluggers and big punchers like Julian "The Hawk" Jackson, incredibly, he would box against those types.

A great fighter was Fullmer. Top 100 great boxers in my view.
