Amanda Serrano announces final fight will be in January 2027
Amanda Serrano has announced, via social media, that she will be having her final fight in January 2027.
Perhaps spurred on by the tearful sentimentality and smashing commercial success of longtime rival Katie Taylor’s swansong fight in front of 80,000 fans against Flora Pili at Croke Park in Dublin, Serrano, 50-4-1 (32 KOs), says she plans to do something similar with her legion of fans in her native Puerto Rico.
“The Real Deal” Serrano, 37, is the WBO featherweight champion, as well as a seven-weight world champion and the only Puerto Rican boxer, male or female, to be crowned an undisputed world champion (featherweight) in boxing’s 'four-belt era'.
While Serrano notched her 50th career victory in her last fight, an uncharacteristically shaky majority decision over Lucrecia Anabella Manzur in August, she was unable to break the all-time women’s record for career knockouts (32), which she currently shares with hall-of-famer Christy Martin.
Thus, Serrano’s final career fight will also be her last chance to break the record. Her opponent is yet to be announced.

Assume someone with KO losses on their record rather than a legit opponent. A fight with Tiara Brown would be a great fight but don't see it happening.
