John Boy Marshall upset the local fighter Robert Burton with a brutal assualt to the body for a steady 4 rounds before forcing Burton to Quit on his stool at the end of the 4th round. Burton who had previousley gone the distance twice with Mathew Hatton enjoyed some rare success in rd 2 with a big right hook that pushed Marshall back to the ropes only for him to come straight back at Burton whipping in hurtful hooks to the body with both hands.
Burton tried to keep the determined Marshall at bay but he was trapped on the ropes in the final round with john boy punching at will with not much coming back from Burton
Ali Nuumbembe most probabley woke up this morning wondering whether it was all a dream after putting a great performance against Britsh Champion David Barnes and not coming home with the Belt.
Ali Started well agaist David very much cat and mouse for the first few rounds each looking to counter the other Barnes landed a couple of big right hooks in the middle rounds that looked to of shook Ali and many wondered was this barnes territory the late rounds .But credit to Ali's conditioning he matched David punch for punch on the home straight Knocking Barnes head back numerous times in the last couple of rounds. Both fighters raised there arms at the bell each thinking they had both won.
Both Ali And David are demanding a rematch, With more preperation next time round for both fighters it Looks like a successful sequel is on the way.
