Tommy "The Duke" Morrison vs. "The Bayone Bleeder" Chuck Wepner

15 Rounds Heavyweight Bout

The Duke would overwhelm Wepner by landing big left hooks and combinations to make Wepner bleed as he would stop the Bayone Bleeder in 8 to 12 rounds at best. What do you guys think and who do you got?

I can see this getting tough for Morrison down the stretch as I think he'd be going hard on Wepner early on, and busting him up badly, however if Wepner is able to stand up to all that Morrison is gonna be pretty gassed in the 2nd half, and will struggle to get through many of those rounds. Wepner doesn't have really any advantages over Morrison physically, but he was tough and he was pretty durable. I'd lean toward Morrison to win the fight, but he's gonna have some rough moments in there.

I see it the same way. Morrison would be all over Wepner early

Mismatch. Morrison would annihilate Wepner. Chucks height was listed at 6-5. He’d be 6-7 afterwards from all the uppercuts

Morrison definitely wins, but it might be tough. He'd get a lopsided decision or late rounds TKO. Either way, a bloodied, battered Wepner makes it competitive.

Tommy was far more skilled and athletic, but he also was chinny. And Wepner had a well-established rep for fighting back despite taking a beating. Remember how Chuck hung in there for ten rounds against Liston? This one's no picnic for Morrison.
