12 (or 15) Rounds Heavyweight Bout
Byrd would outbox the Boogieman behind his southpaw jabs and counterpunches from long range to take a decision. What do you guys think and who do you got?
Chris Byrd vs. Jesse Ferguson
Re: Chris Byrd vs. Jesse Ferguson
If you're looking for a guy with a Journeymen record that might have a shot against Byrd then I'd go with Johnny Risko.
Most guys with double digit losses ain't gonna beat a Former World Titleholder.

Re: Chris Byrd vs. Jesse Ferguson
Byrd wins easily on points. He'd counter Ferguson all night, and slap him silly with the flicking right-jab. Ferguson would never be hurt or cut, but he'd get nothing done due to his plodding, mechanical style. Byrd would outfinesse Jesse all the way.
I assume you take the winner for granted (Byrd). Are you more interested in how the action would play out, due to their contrasting styles and athletic attributes?
I can't picture Ferguson making this interesting. Same as the Bigfoot Martin hypothetical: boring, easy win for the quicker, more agile, tactically superior Byrd. No action, probably a shutout on the cards.
